Rimmel lipstick in #103 and #104

These Rimmel lipsticks from the Kate Moss collection are absolutely amazing. They have to be my go to lipsticks at the moment, especially #104. I've already repurchased another tube of it because I wear it so much but I cant help it, its such and awesome color. Both these colors are very neutral and can be pulled of with a lot of different looks like a heavily smoked out eye or an I'm going to the supermarket and don't want to look like I'm going out clubbing look. What I love most about them is that there semi matte, and I say that because there not a dry matte but more like a moisturizing creamy matte that just glide across your lips without pulling or snagging. They're very pigmented so you don't have to apply a ton of coats just to get the color you want. And another great thing about them besides the price is they dry into a semi stain giving you a good amount of wear time. Over all I would have to say Rimmel London and Kate Moss collaboration was a hit with pigmentation, color selection, longevity, and formulation. I hope this help someone looking for a good drugstore lipstick that's affordable and good quality. theirs so many different brands, finishes, and qualities to choose from and it can get a little crazy in the cosmetic isle.
This is #104 and its a dusty rose color and I'm so in love with it!

This is #103 and its a  medium pink color that's very wearable and not so lound and in your face.

Cystic Acne

So if you ever had hormonal or cystic acne you know the horror I felt every time I looked in the mirror and seen this.  All my life I've had acne, my mom sister and a lot of my mom side of the family has had it so I believed it was genetic. I've tried everything you could think of from the drug store and even got a prescription for pills from my Dr. but all a waist of money, time and loss of hope. So about a year ago I finally found my cure and I've been acne free for more than a year now and I could kick myself for not doing this sooner. Now I broke it down to three easy steps.....

Dairy: Dairy is my enemy; the farmers fill up these animals as there being raised to produce bigger and more food for us. Cows are milked while pregnant which also contains hormones therefor causing hormone imbalances among other thing in our body which eventualy comes out on our faces . What can also happen is some people have dairy sensitivity or are allergic to dairy and causes you to have acne. About a year ago I went on a special k diet which I had to eat a bowl of cereal twice a day and when I say my face went haywire I'm not even joking, it was the worst breakout I had ever experienced in my life. My checks and chin area were completely covered in cystic acne that were extremely painful. From there on I cut out dairy from my diet and haven't regretted it since and I could finally say I am acne free.

Gentle products: In my experience using harsh chemicals like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid just made my face dry, irritated and worst. I ended up switching my face wash to Cetaphil because I was extremely gentle and non-irritant to my face. It also removed my makeup and help control my oily skin but not drying it out. I have been using Cetaphil for about 5yrs now and i love it!!!! Definitely one of my must have skin care products.

Moisturizer: This step is really important and many people with acne and oily skin end up skipping this because they think it will make your face more oily or the acne worst. Its actually the opposite, the dryer you try to keep your face the more you pores will produce oily to keep your skin hydrated. Moisturizing  helps keep your face hydrated and in time will become less oily ( in my case it did ). The best moisturizers you can use is ones that contain retinol it will dry your skin at first until your skin adapts to it and then your skin should become normal again. If you don't use one with retinol try to use one that's for sensitive skin with no fragrance or other harsh chemicals.

well I hope this helped someone because I know how it feels to have horrible acne and feel like there is no hope for a clear face but I'm living proof that their is!!! And don't forget to drink plenty of water!!!

A Glimpes Of Me 1

I have had a passion for makeup and beauty since I could remember. I would spend hours using my grandma's Avon makeup, anti-aging creams and perfume she had laying around the bathroom and it would make me so happy playing with them. That's still the same feeling I get till this day when I play with my own makeup. For about 9yrs I rarely wore makeup and if I did it would be some lip gloss and mascara and I would be good to go. Well about 1yrs ago I happen to go on YouTube and discovered a whole new world and immediately I was hooked. I watched any and all videos related to makeup and/or  beauty for hours at a time and I couldn't get enough of it. Sure enough I wanted everything I saw and want to become a makeup artist. I wanted to do makeup like the girls in the video but wanting to and actually doing are two different things.

I went out and bought makeup palettes and brushes on eBay  and I couldn't figure out why my makeup still wasn't looking as good as those other girls so I started buying higher end makeup and I thought that would help but it didn't. What I found out is the brushes and tools I use are what make the magic happened and when I bought my first Signa brushes It changed the way my makeup applied.

However recently I purchased the Lorac pro 2 palette and something inside me just clicked when playing with the colors. It's like everything made sense to me on what colors goes with what, where I should be placing the colors and most importantly what works for me, my face, and skin tone. Everyone think makeup and makeup artistry is easy but there is definitely more to it then just putting it on.

What I learned this year is invest in the tools you use because it's definitely about blending blending blending lol. Know what works best for you because not everyone is the same, what works for me may not work for you. Everyone's skin type, color, age and life are not the same so don't compare yourself to someone. Makeup and beauty is suppose to be fun so don't be afraid to color out side the lines or think out side the box. Just be you and don't think about what others have to say, which was one of my problems for awhile but you live and you learn right, then you blog about it right lol. Have any of you ever compared your self to someone else or tried to do something like someone else and it just didn't work out ? comment down below I would love to hear feed back about this.

Cleaning Your Palettes

Ok so I was forgetting something on clean up day! YES girls my pallets were getting neglected. Not only is it good to keep your makeup brushes sanitized and clean but you should always keep your makeup pallets clean too. In fact every thing that touches your face should be sanitized and with a little alcohol you can do just that. What I do is pour a little bit of alcohol in a small spray bottle and just start spraying away! The good thing about this it you don't have to wait all day for it to dry up because it drys in seconds. And it doesn't mess up or change the formulation of the product either. And for a acne prone girls like me this makes a huge impact on keeping my skin clean and clear! Trust
me I need all the help I can get. Every makeup artist out there should definitely be doing this between clients to prevent the spread of germs, bacteria and who knows what else. That reminds me of a story I read about a makeup artist that was working Rhianna's riri woo launch party that was applying lipstick to everyone and not sanitizing it before each use and allegedly gave someone herpes. Not sure if its was true or not but I'm sure it can happen. Bottom line is keep your makeup clean girls!!!!

NEUTROGENA Rapid Wrinkle Repair (first impression)

OK so I'm about to turn 26 in a couple of months so I been on the hunt for a good anti-aging cream. I'm starting to get some lines under my eyes and even though I know there is no miracle cream in the world that can erase wrinkles,  I want to start preventing them from getting worst. Now I've tried lo'real revitalift double lifting cream and it sucked. Every time I would rub it in my face it would peel right off and the packaging looked cheap.

So I went and bought Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair moisturizer with UVA/UVB broad spectrum SPF 30.
Neutrogena claims:
  • Fades the look of stubborn deep, wrinkles, including crows feet, forehead & cheek wrinkles
  • Brightens skins tone
  • Smooth's fine lines & texture
  • Protects from the suns damaging rays
Accelerated Retinol SA Combination:
  • Retinol SA - (sustained action) time release technology to have the ability to penetrate the skins surface
  • Glucose complex – a Retinol SA booster that accelerates skins surface activity for rapid results on the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Hyaluronic acid – adds line plumping moisturizer to help hydrate, replenish and rejuvenate the look of skin. Gentle enough for daily use and all skin types

Well let’s just say I freaking love this stuff!!!! The bottle is metal and feels like they put effort in the packaging. The cream inside is like sun blocks constancy and it smells a little like it but it has a hint of sweetness to it. None the less it smells good to me. Now when I woke up the next day after using it I was very surprise to see my face looked so youthful. The wrinkles were still there but I could see the difference in the appearance of my skin. There was less redness in my skin and I didn’t have any bags under my eyes. Overall my skin looked plumped and healthier. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody and I can wait to get the rest of the products in this line

JORDANA twist and shine lip balms

So in love with these Jordana lip balms way more than the Revlon kissable balms!! They give off so much pigmentation and there more moisturizing to my lips in my opinion. When first applied they have a really nice shine which then turns into a matted stain that last for ever. Not to mention there $2.99 more than half the price to any other lip balms in the drug store.

On the left we have Honey Love which is a mauvey everyday color- great for the fall. Me personally I love mauve color anything form lippies, eye shadows to especially blushes!!

On the right we have Sweet pink which is almost a Barbie looking pink. Although its bright I think its very wearable on all skin tones. Also makes your teeth look whiter and that's always a plus.
